Directions:

503 N to Amboy,Wa. East on NE Healy. Follow signs toward Cougar,Wa. Healy turns into Rd54. Left onto Rd57. left again onto Rd 5701. Drive to end and park at trailhead of trail #130-Siouxon Creek. Get the big-ass Giffy Pinchy map so’s you don’t git yerself lost.

Description:

Gorgeous. Mossy rocks and trees. Emerald Pools. Waterfalls. Perfect Uni trail. Equal parts Duffy Joy..... ....and Sharp Rocks with several challenging creek crossings.

Begin this Ride at the end of Forest road 5701. You’ll ride IN upstream and OUT downstream. None of the climbs are too intense or too long. There are several technical sections interjected into the duffy joy ride. There are also several areas to get your “TRIALS’n ON”.... Why, yes, these ARE bugleboy jeans!

It’s about 5 miles to Calamity creek where you are guaranteed a blast trying over and over again to clean the 25 feet of, sometimes quite slimy, rocks. Wheee!

If time is short, this makes a convienient turn around (approx 2 Hours for me). Since you climbed, on average, while riding upstream, heading out is almost pure joy with very few climbs. So please, do enjoy. Also, please stop and join me for a rousing chorus of “head shoulders knees and toes!” at Siouxon falls (after the idiots get out from in front of the camera).

Love, Ira
